The Gikomba carving cooperative society consists of a large group of skilled carvers working under one umbrella on a compound in Nairobi, Kenya. Utilizing the power of numbers, the cooperative procures wood legally for members, ensuring more time can be spent carving.

These beautiful wooden statues are carved from jacaranda, a beautiful tree found throughout Kenya that bears gorgeous purple blossoms.
